Ongoing conflict, economic turmoil, and natural disasters have wreaked havoc, leaving millions on the brink of starvation.

The escalating violence has destroyed livelihoods. More than 10 million are internally displaced, and nearly 2.3 million have fled to neighbouring countries since April 2023. The conflict has destroyed critical infrastructure, disrupted agricultural activities, and pushed malnutrition rates to alarming levels.

Farmers in conflict zones face daily threats to their safety, unable to access fields or grow crops. With fewer cultivated areas and shrinking harvests, the food supply is rapidly diminishing.

The Need for Aid

Right now, it is estimated that close to 26 million people in Sudan are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.

Sudan has been in the midst of a humanitarian crisis long before the current conflict took hold. The climate crisis, in addition to social, political and economic instability, have pushed millions of Sudanese families into poverty and starvation.
