The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels.
Since October 7th, over 40,000 Palestinians have been killed, with almost 70% of the victims being women and children. The entire population of 2.2 million Gazans requires urgent humanitarian assistance.
Severe electricity blackouts, coupled with critical water and food shortages, have created a healthcare and sanitation crisis. Additionally, 1.6 million Gazans have been internally displaced, facing severe overcrowding, lack of privacy, and unsafe conditions.

The Need for Aid
Daily life in Gaza is a fight for survival. There is no water supply, no hygiene and sanitation, and no access to food. This dire situation necessitates continuous aid to sustain life in Gaza, every single day. Vulnerable groups, including children, pregnant women, the disabled, and the elderly, are particularly at risk and need immediate support.

How is IDRF helping?
Food Assistance
Food Parcels (Fresh Food & Non-perishable)
These weekly food parcels include fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as non-perishable foods like pulses, canned foods, and so on.
Hot Meals
All our hot meals include a balance of protein and carbohydrates. These distributions target vulnerable populations like children and seniors across Gaza.
Food Vouchers
Despite limitations, we have facilitated the distribution of food vouchers to families. This empowers families with health concerns or unique dietary requirements to purchase food.
Wash
(Water Sanitation & Hygiene)
WASH programs will remain an essential pillar of IDRF’s emergency response programming. Below is a breakdown of our clean water, sanitation and hygiene programs.
Clean Water Distribution
On a daily basis, IDRF distributes 330,000 litres of clean drinking water through our water desalination plants.
Sanitation: Toilets/Latrines
IDRF has also installed dozens of toilets in areas with a high density of IDPs. They are built in accessible locations for families.
Family Hygiene Kits
We continue to distribute essential hygiene kits across Gaza, including include female sanitary pads, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, diapers, soap, shampoo, etc.
Health Support
Health care support has been a critical pillar of IDRF’s response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. IDRF will continue to establish medical clinics, and provide hospitals with medical supplies and equipment.
Medical Clinics
IDRF has established four medical clinics in Gaza that provide primary medical support to patients.
Support for Hospitals
IDRF’s goal is to provide hospitals with fuel to ensure the generators at the hospitals can power the facilities.
NFI
(Non Food Items)
Over 2.3 million people have lost their homes in Gaza. Shelter is critical for families as all remaining schools are at capacity, and very limited infrastructure remains in Gaza at this time.
