IDRF has dedicated staff who liaise continually with partners to ensure that projects meet rigorous standards. IDRF staff perform detailed background audits on all potential partners before launching projects. Ongoing narrative and financial reporting and evaluations are critical to our work, and IDRF routinely conducts assessments of projects in the field, ensuring funds are used efficiently and effectively.

IDRF’s Board of Directors and relevant sub-committees provide oversight, direction, and accountability to our staff’s efforts.

IIDRF is honoured to have been recognized for our exceptional standards in accountability, transparency, and efficiency, and remains committed to upholding these high standards in all of our work.

To start an IDRF chapter, you need to:

  • Submit an application through our online form.
  • Participate in an extensive training and onboarding process.
  • Get the club ratified based on university guidelines.
  • Lead your chapter by conducting events and fundraisers throughout the year, with ongoing support from IDRF’s fund development team.

Running an IDRF chapter may require a commitment of 5–10 hours per week, which can be adjusted based on your availability and chapter activities. This is flexible, and depends on the number and scale of events being planned by your chapter.

Each university has its own set of guidelines for ratifying student clubs. To get your IDRF chapter recognized as an official student club, you should:

  • Review your university’s student club ratification process and requirements.
  • Submit any necessary forms and documentation to the appropriate university office or committee.
  • Follow up with your university’s student life or student affairs office to ensure your application is processed.
